2009 Rules

 

General Rules:
1. No fighting will be tolerated. Suspension for 3 races on first offense and 10 races for second offense.
2. No rough driving. If you are blackflaged for rough driving. You will be suspended for 2 races.
3. We follow track rules once we enter onto the race track (examples: flags, starts, restarts, and track calls)
4. You have 2 laps to get back into your position once you are told to do so. If you fail to get back into your spot you will be sent off the track for that event.
5. We do not race back to the caution
6. Winner of each heat race will weight and top 5 after feature will weight
7. Top 3 motors, fuel, and right rear tire will be check after feature event.

Membership dues are due before first race. You will not recieve points or money if you do not pay dues. Dues are $50.00

Car Specs. Rules
Weight:
1. Car and driver must weigh at least 780lbs after each event.
2. Lead must be bolted firmly with BOLTS. No zipties, duct tape etc. All lead must be INSIDE THE FRAME RAILS. No father forward than drivers floor pan and no father back than back of drivers seat. ALL LEAD MUST BE PAINTED WHITE, ORANGE, YELLOW. Your car number must be scribed, painted, or wrote on the lead. This is a safety issue, if the lead comes off it must be seen on the track ASAP. If the lead falls off of your car, you will be black flaged.
3. If you fail to meet weight, you will be given 1 more try to cross the scales. You will be sent to the rear of the next event or DQed for the main event if you are light in the A main. No money, no points.
4. If you fail to go straight to the scales after each event, you will be DQed and have to start rear of next event or DQed if its the A main.

Motor:
1. Motor cannot exceed 619cc displacment. NO 636s ALLOWED Must be a Production Motorcycle Engine, 4 cylinder, 4 stroke
2. All motors must be naturally asperated. NO TURBOS, SUPER CHARGERS, NOS, NITRO
3. Hot boxes ALLOWED
4. Fuel Injection ALLOWED
5. Carbs ALLOWED
6. No traction control devices
7. Must have a functioning starter
8. Must have a working clutch
9. Mufflers required
10. Non flammable top lube only, Alcohol or gas only. No exotic fuels or additives

Wheels and Tires:
1. Any brand tires allow. Right Rear must durometer at least a 50
2. Wheel size maximum is 15" wide on right rear

Wings:
1. 12 sq ft max. 10 sq ft min. Side boards 54"X26" Max.
2. No duel stage wings
3. Wicker bills allowed
4. Internal Sliders ok

Chassis:
1. Roll cages shall be at least 1 1/8 inch .065 wall thickness or 1 1/4 inch .065 wall thickness
2. Roll cages must have sufficient fore and aft bracing
3. All cages shall be made of chromoly steel or equivalent
4. All cars must be equipped with nerf bars and not exceed beyond the rear tires
5. All cars must have bumpers extending beyond the front and rear tires
6. Cars must have floor pans extending form the Driver’s feet to the front of the seat
7. All wet cell batteries mounted in the cockpit area must be covered and vented outside the cockpit area
8. Shocks allowed. Cockpit adjustable OK
9. Must have a minimum of 1 inboard brake on car. LF brake recommended
10. Cars must be chain driven

Safety:
1. Arm restraints are MANDITORY
2. SFI approved racing shoes, gloves, suits.
3. Snell approved helmets only MUST BE FULL FACED. No motorcross helmet with goggles
4. Maximum of 2 years on seat belts
5. Chain guards are manditory. .090 min. thickness on material. Must extend past driver opening
6. Neck restraint system is required (IE. Neck roll, HANS, Hutchens etc.)
7. Must have a head rest or head net on right side of driver while seated in the car. Full containment seats are recommended
8. Bladders fuel cells or ASCS2/POWRi Approved fuel cells will be MANDITORY effective Janurary 1, 2009 (no grace period). If you do not have an approved fuel cell, you do not race.
9. Fire ext. are recommended in each race car TRAILER
10. DRIVER MINIMUM AGE IS 12 YEARS OLD

Numbers:
1. Must be at least 12" tall on wing and 8" tall on tail tank
2. Must have numbers on both sides of wing and tailtank (center of the wing is recommended)
3. Numbers must legiable
4. No profane jestures anywhere on the car. No pornography, foul language on car
5. No duplicate numbers. If you have a dupilcate number you must add another number or a letter to yours. (Person higher in points keeps the orginal number)

You have been racing 600s less than 2 years to qualify for ROY. ROY points will be as follows

This is in the order you finish (example: X finishes 5th and he is the highest finishing Rookie, then he/she would be award 10 points, and so on)
